MKS represents a successful model of cooperation among Mediterranean countries and makes our borders less noticeable. In addition, the scientific events, an enjoyable social program awaits our guests in the culturally diverse city of Mostar. We look forward to welcoming you to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina for a collaboration that spans many countries in an environment of scientific wealth and cultural diversity.

Dear Colleagues,

The 4th Congress of the Mediterranean Kidney Society, held on 20-22 April 2018, has been completed very nicely with its high scientific content and a warm social program, worthy of the Mediterranean. We all left from Mostar with beautiful memories. I heartedly thank to our new President Prof. Halima Resic, and Prof. Enisa Mesic (Chair of Scientific Committee) providing this beautiful atmosphere, and also to Prof. Sanjin Racki, organizer of the 5th MKS Congress in Croatia. I also would like to thank Benjamin making this congress in the best way.

I am honored to be together with my esteemed colleagues from all of the participating Mediterranean countries and to share our experiences. I appreciate all of them.

I believe we will achieve excellent research projects together, under the umbrella of MKS. As the new general secretary of the association, I am sure that I will always feel your support in my new position too.

Hope to meet you in near future.

With my best regards,

Professor Ayse Balat
